Walmart in Courtenay, BC "With the nicer weather these days, I have noticed something very disturbing in the Walmart store which I had put off earlier to simply being overdressed in the winter time. Lately, whenever I step into the local Walmart, the air quality, or lack thereof, causes me to feel very uncomfortable. It's so stuffy and hot, and UNFRESH, in the store that I have found myself racing around to get what I "need", and get out of there as fast as possible..."
Walmart in Courtenay, BC "It never ceases to amaze me how so many consumers who have accepted big box importers like Walmart as the defacto ONLY choice for goods and services, don't factor in the whole picture! "Lowest price" seems to be the greatest, most common excuse for shopping at this largest business on the planet..."
Walmart in Courtenay, BC "Am I the only one who gets the impression that my time is worth absolutely nothing at Walmart? Just because Walmart has mastered the subordination of third-world labour and skirted around environmental responsibilities by dealing with manufacturers who pollute without eco checks and balances, that is no excuse for treating their customers with the same contempt..."
Walmart in Courtenay, BC "The audacity and semantic sneakiness of Walmart does not seem to respect any bounds or limits, as demonstrated by a huge poster they have at the front of the store stating "Canadian Made and Proud of It"! When I first saw this, I could not believe they DARED promote what this "Canadian Made" proclamation IMPLIED..."

While the topic of hair removal is of interest to men and women around the world, our emphasis here, is to provide helpful information for primarily for Canadian, American, and European visitors.
Introduction to Hair Removal
For centuries, men and women of all cultures and ages have practiced various forms of hair removal. Hair removal generally describes any method of removing hair from any part of the human body.
Human hair grows on all areas of the body except for the palms of the hands, the lips, certain areas of the private parts and the soles of the feet. Hair is most noticeable in most people in a just a small number of areas. These areas which are most commonly shaved, waxed, trimmed, or plucked include: the abdomen, armpits, back, chest, eyebrows, eyelashes, face, legs, head, and pubic hair.
Methods of Hair Removal
Depending on the area of the body involved, and whether a temporary or permanent removal of hair is desired, there are various methods available:
TEMPORARY HAIR REMOVAL: "Depilation", involves the removal of hair to the level of the skin, and usually lasts several hours to several days. Depilation can be achieved by shaving (most common form of hair removal) or trimming (manually with razor, scissors or with electric shavers). Depilatories (creams or "shaving powders" which chemically dissolve hair) can also be used for temporary hair removal, as can friction (with rough surfaces used to buff away hair). "Epilation", involves the removal of the entire hair from the root, and usually lasts several days to several weeks. Epilation can be achieved by plucking (hairs are plucked, or pulled out, with tweezers or with fingers). Another popular form of epilation involves waxing (a hot or cold layer of wax is applied and then removed with porous strips) and sugaring (similar to waxing, but with a, generally more organic, sticky paste). Threading (also known as fatlah or khite, in which a twisted thread catches hairs as it is rolled across the skin) is another form of epilation. Burning off hair with hot wax can damage the cells and prevent hair from ever growing in the unwanted spot again. Turmeric can also be used along with other ingredients like besan powder and milk. There are hair removal devices called epilators (mechanical devices that rapidly grasp hairs and pull them out). Even prescription oral medications are available for temporary hair removal. Enzymes (fx. the Epiladerm-Complex) that inhibit the development of new hair cells can be used as well.
PERMANENT HAIR REMOVAL: While many hair removal solutions are touted as permanent, this form of removing body hair is more difficult to achieve. Present day options involve chemicals, and/or varying energy types which are targeted at the areas that regulate hair growth. The goal is to permanently destroy these areas without harming the surrounding tissue. Electrolysis is one such method of permanent hair removal.
